Audrey Neal

Audrey Neal has a very great eye for design and composition. I love her digital scrapbooking products because I think she has such a unique perspective on the products people want to use.

Audrey is the co-author, with May Flaum, of Paper + Pixels: Scrapbook Layouts, a book about hybrid scrapbooking. While her digital products reflect a variety of styles, Audrey's primary purpose is creating products that help you to get your stories scrapped. "Because so much of the work I've done in the scrapbooking industry has been about pushing product, rather than authentic memory-keeping, it was important to me to get back to the reasons why I started scrapbooking in the first place." Audacious Designs feature simple patterns, bold colors, and fun elements, including hand-written word art.

Audrey has been scrapbooking for years and her involvement in the industry began just over three years ago. She worked on several manufacturer design teams including My Mind's Eye, Urban Lily, Around the Block, and others. In addition to her DT work, she released two papers lines with Dream Street Papers and two stamp sets with Inque Boutique. She has had numerous articles and layouts featured in many paper and digital publications. She definitely is a busy lady!

Audrey lives in a small college town in western Kentucky with her husband Chris and two daughters, Cassidy and Cami. Both she and her husband work for the same university, which makes for nice lunch dates on a daily basis. Audrey has a B.A. degree in English and Secondary Education, with a minor in Creative Writing; she just completed her Master's degree in Secondary Education. Prior to her current work with a federal grant program designed to prepare low-income students for college, she taught English at the middle and high school level for six years. When she's not designing or scrapbooking, she loves to read, take photos, knit, rearrange the furniture in her house, and travel.

You can visit her Blog and her Gallery to check out the uniqueness that she'll be bringing to DHD in just 3 short days!

Spencer Nugent - Mansigner!

DHD would not be complete without a man designer or mansigner. We're so excited to announce Spencer Nugent of IDsketching fame has turned to the light side and started designing digital scrapbooking products! Spencer has always been an artist and studied Industrial Design at BYU. Soon after graduating he launched a website IDsketching dedicated to helping art students hone their sketching skills. He does video tutorials and the most recent feature "sketch-a-day" to help keep us all inspired.

Spencer grew up in Jamaica and loves the color red and pretty much all bright colors. He is married to the adorable Jen Allyson and together with their kitty Archibald Von Nugent, live in sunny El Dorado Hills, California!

Even though he is a trained and professional Industrial Designer, illustration has always been his true love. He even sent me a quick preview of some of his illustrations for DHD:
How much fun is that?? I know Spencer has a lot of creativity up his sleeve, and I can't wait to see it all come together! Spencer brings his own unique styling to all of his kits so get ready to see some things you've never seen before! Go Spencer!

Just a few days till launch and we're all working away trying to get everything ready. We can't wait to see you there!

Tiffany Tillman is in the House!

Some of you may know Tiffany from her induction to the CK Hall of Fame in 2005. Since then she has contributed page designs to hundreds of periodicals, books, DVD's, and creative projects around the world. In 2008 she started digi-designing (lucky us!) and in 2009 she designed 100 templates! Such a busy lady! She was formerly designing for Little Dreamers Designs, and she is currently teaching intermediate Photoshop and Photoshop Elements courses at ReneePearson.com. And for all you template junkies, she'll have new templates at DHD on January 1st!

Tiffany attended Old Dominion University, studying Fine Arts & Graphic Design. She lives in Virginia Beach (awesome) with her diva-daughter and is a beach-gal at heart, she even loves to play the PS3!

Tiffany's style is uniquely her own and I can only describe it as "perfect" because that is really what it is. She creates stunning templates that are clearly designed by a professional who knows the principles of design and composition. She is somehow able to bridge the gap between overly cutesy and overly modern and create scrapbook perfection. I'm definitely a fan! Everything she creates has so much soul and flair. We're so happy that she's bringing her soul and flair to the Design House!

Check out her Blog for more information on all that she's up to as well as her classes at Renee Pearson's site. You will not be disappointed.

Just a few more days till launch!

Don't forget about the freebie!

I know with all the excitement about designer announcement, that it's easy to overlook the beautiful Christmas freebie available on our site. Don't forget to grab it!

Wahooo! Jen Wilson!

Jen Wilson has been my friend for about 4 years. It didn't take me very long to realize some very key things about her. She is incredibly creative, the ideas that come out of her are just like ZAMMO every single time. She is unfaltering talented. I am always in awe of how beautiful Jen's designs are. I wish I could pull off just 10% of her flair and unique style. She is so hard working -- I swear she doesn't sleep. She is completely humble. Seriously, when she reads this she's going to deny all of it and then tell me I was way too kind. But I know and anyone who knows her knows, that she is all of these things. We love her for it, and we love her soul-filled products for it too!

Jen Wilson has been designing digital scrapbooking products forever. I don't even know how long, but she told me that it was back in the day when you had to send out CD's because people didn't really comprehend the idea of downloading digital files. She has worked in a few shops here and there, but for the past several years, she has been running and designing thousands of products at Jenwilsondesigns.com.

In addition to all those things, she's managed to create some killer paper products for My Mind's Eye. Some of her big lines include Signature Suite, Laundry Line, 29th Street Market & Breaking free. But there are lots more too - I'm tired just thinking about how much paper she's designed in the last 4 years for MME. But trust me, she's got lots more up her sleeves and she's bringing it to DHD!

I'm excited that she'll be able to take a break from all the technical parts of running a site and just be free to design. I'm sure this will translate into the most imaginative and beautiful creations to date! We're incredibly lucky to have her join the site, and now you definitely have to come back in January to see what she, and all the other designer's are going to unveil!

Wahoo! Jen Wilson!

Jen Allyson - The Project Girl

Hi everyone! I'm jumping into the spotlight and announcing myself as a Designer!

I'm sure some of you have guessed that I was coming to Design House Digital, since I'm besties with Carina Gardner, but here I am all officially official! For those of you who don't know me, and I'm sure there are many, here is some quick info about me...

I've worked for MME as a designer and art direct for for the past 7+ years. I have designed many many sheets of paper, so many that if you were once a paper scrapper, I can pretty much guarantee you've used some of my designs. My newest line is called Be-loved and its an adorable valentine's line, and at CHA in January 2010 MME is launching an adorable line that I designed along with the lovely Zoe Pearn called "Quite Contrary." I cant wait!

As a digital designer, I started in February 2009, so I'm a young one, but I've had so much fun and met so many talented and amazing people that I feel like I've been doing it forever! All my current kits are for sale at Two Peas in a Bucket, but I look forward to January 1 and all the new kits that I'll be launching at DHD!

I don't want to leave you guys hanging, so here's a quick sneak peak of one of my new kits:

You can check out my blog for more info about me and some fun projects and downloads too! The site launches in 10 days! Merry Christmas!

Melissa Esplin: cute as a button

Melissa Esplin is the cutest thing ever! I'm not kidding either, and if you doubt me, go check out her blog. I know you'll love it and fall in love with her sense of style and amazing calligraphy.

Melissa is new to digital scrapbooking design, but not design, She graduated in Painting & Drawing in 2007 from BYU, but design is what got her through school: "I got 4 years of graphic design experience by the time I left college, and towards the end of my schooling my work looked more like a designer's than a painter's. My BFA show was created entirely in Illustrator." Thats a girl after my own heart!

She also says, "My love for illustrator and Adobe's Creative Suite runs deep. Illustrator is like my bestest friend, like the one that knows exactly what you're saying when you're not saying anything." I agree Melissa, I agree.

If you've already checked out her amazing blog, you would know that she also loves things like
photography, painting, bookbinding, sewing, blogging, bike riding and being a mama. This girl is one talented lady, her sewing projects are my favorite, I just need to have her give me lessons!

Melissa is excited to be designing for DHD and learning more about digital scrapbooking and trust me, we are excited for her to be joining our awesome team of designers.

Okay this is the last plug for her blog, but seriously, you have to check out this freebie:

She made this adorable printable "Christmas Candy Box" and is giving it away free on her blog. The thing I like best about it is that you could use it any time of year. She's so clever!

Since she's a new name in digi, be sure to give her a hearty hello so that she feels welcome among us crazy ladies (and gentlemen)!

Less than 2 weeks till launch! see you there :)

Meredith Fenwick

Meredith Fenwick! Wow! We're so excited that such a talented digi-lady is coming to the site. We wanted to know all about her so this is what she had to share:
I'm a 33 year old mom to two little boys, Alex and Max and wife to Gordon. I've always loved working with computers, from the time that I was a little kid and my Dad brought home a TI-85. In college I started editing television projects and found Photoshop. After working in television for six years and deciding to leave the work force to stay at home with my first son, I was looking for a creative outlet and found digital scrapbooking. I started designing and joined my first store in 2005 and have been working in the industry ever since. I've also had the chance to design for a couple of paper scrapbooking companies, the most recent being Prima.

An amazing project that I am proud to be a part of is Songbird Avenue. Jan Crowley and I founded the site in May of 2007 and we have been raising funds for charities through sales of our digital kits we do every month with our guest designers. We have had amazing success so far with almost 40,000 dollars raised for various charities such as Autism Speaks, Toys for Tots and the Fischer Center for Alzheimer Research.

I also spend time designing and creating jewelry and opened my Etsy shop in January of 2009. It is a great way for me to use my creativity off of the computer and get my hands working. My design studio now doubles as a jewelry studio too, although the spaces often meld together into one big clutter!

I am so excited to be a part of this fun new project and hope that I can bring a lot to the store and the community at Design House Digital :)

And we're so excited to have you be part of DHD!

Meredith was also kind enough to provide you all with a freebie! Check out this adorable printable Christmas card or tag:

Without further ado... Natalie Malan

Natalie Malan is a talented illustrator, designer and all around cool chick. She received a BFA in illustration from BYU and promptly set out to illustrate a children's book called "Candle in the Window." If you're into that type of thing, you should definitely check out her illustration blog. She also teaches book binding, which is amazingly cool... we need to get her to teach all of us!

Natalie has been designing paper scrapbooking products for awhile now. She has designed for Making Memories (paperie, spring fling, english garden, chloe's closet), Provo Craft - Cricut Cartridges: Pink Journey, Mother's Day, Easter, and more ADORABLE ones soon!, and Your Story machine (the box even has her beautiful wedding pics): Christmas, baby, travel, and school kits.

Good thing for us Natalie designs digital products too! You can find some awesome digital kits from her at her former shop at PCLayers, as well as a ton of digi freebies on her digi blog - See Jane Scrapbook. Be sure to look for all her BRAND NEW digi products at Design House Digital starting January 1st 2010. Of course She has to design them first, (GO NAT!) with an adorable 9 month old and a healthy list of freelance clients, she's definitely got her hands full!

We can't wait to see what her unique style and talent brings us digi-lovers next!

Introducing Carina Gardner

Some of you may have already heard rumors that Carina Gardner has changed shops, we're happy to announce that she's found her new home at Design House Digital! We're so lucky to have her, she was formerly a digital designer for Two Peas in a Bucket, and her style can be described as design chic ( I just made that up!). With an M.A. & Ph.D. in Design from the University of Minnesota, she definitely knows what she's doing. She has even taught graphic design foundations, typography, design theory, and packaging design for five years at the University of Minnesota. Currently she is teaching an introductory Adobe Illustrator course at Jessica Sprague.com.
